Think of your Mum this Mothering Sunday.

Valentine’s Day, and Shrove Tuesday (or pan cake day!) are over, now we must prepare for the next holiday, Mother’s Day Mother’s Day is the perfect chance to show your Mum how much you value her and appreciate everything she does for you. The shops are full of bouquets of flowers, so I think I will buy her a bunch of her favorites. What are you going to do to treat your Mum on Mother’s Day? Perhaps making her breakfast in bed, doing more to help round the house, or maybe cooking the tea?

In order to celebrate Mothering Sunday, (which falls on 22nd March this year) we have lots of new free e cards on the site. There is a new ‘Face It’ e-Card up and running on the Mother’s Day page. This particular card is great as you can upload a photo of your Mum and incorporate it into the card, imagine the surprise on her face when she sees that she is starring in her own greeting card! With this card we can see Mum in the ‘World Mum Olympics‘, she is completing the housework, ironing, and making a pancake breakfast - all in record time! This is a great card to send, and is bound to make your Mum laugh.

Even though the ‘Face It’ e-Cards are a popular favorite as they inject humor into the occasion, we have some cute alternatives if you don’t fancy uploading photos.  ‘Mum’s Jumper‘ is a really sweet e-Card to send, it shows a little lamb shivering as he has knitted his wool into a jumper for his Mum as a gift. This a lovely ecard to send as it shows how much you care. Likewise with our ‘Mother Hen’ e-Card, this is a great card because it shows how protective Mum’s can get over their ‘baby chick’s’. All of the e-Cards I have mentioned are a perfect choice for Mother’s Day, but there are many more on the site including ‘If Moms were flowers‘, ‘Your Biggest Fan‘, and ‘Super Mum‘.

Whatever you decide to do for your Mum on Mother’s Day make sure she knows how much you love her.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner!

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, this coming Saturday to be exact! All the shops have been selling gifts for many weeks now, I have even come across a pink, fluffy, heart shaped, hot water bottle cover! How are you planning to celebrate the big day?

Everyone has their own ideas on what Valentine’s Day should be like, and what makes a suitable present or greeting. However, I always find that the card ideas in the shops are very expensive, so why not send one of our free valentine greeting cards instead? With lots of new card designs to choose from you are certain to find one that is perfect for that special person in you life. Why not inject a bit of humor into Valentine’s Day with our Valentine’s Cupid e-Card? This e-Card is part of our ‘Face It’ range and allows you add that extra special touch by giving you the chance to incorporate a photograph of your face into the card. You too as pose as the little cherub Cupid for the day, I am sure that the chosen recipient will smile when they receive this e-Card.

A great Valentine’s Day eCard to send is Valentine’s Scratch, the recipient simply clicks to scratch away the love hearts to reveal the message “Will you be my Valentine?” A great way to show that special person in your life you care on the most romantic day of the year.

We have a wide variety of romantic greeting cards to choose from, these are a fantastic way to say those three little words. Our I Love You (Night) ecard is a lovely way to show that special someone how much you care, and how much they mean to you. This particular e card sets the romantic scene with a starry night, and two figures are sat on-top of a hill, all of a sudden the stars begin to move and form the shape of a heart, the text “I love you” appears at the bottom.

I think it would be safe to say many girls like to receive flowers at any time of the year, but Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse! This message doesn’t just apply to men! I intend to send my mum a nice bouquet of flowers for Valentine’s Day, I know she would really appreciate them. I think Valentine’s Day is a great time to just tell all the important people in your life how much you value them, and care about them.

With this in mind we have teamed up with Interflora and if you enter voucher code ‘ecards 10′ at the check out you be able to claim 10% off your order! What a fantastic idea! With loads of lovely bouquets on offer, choose from Single Kiss, a lovely single red rose in a ceramic vase, right the way through to Infatuation, a rather large selection of red roses with a sprinkling of diamante pins for that extra helping of luxury.

So whatever you all decide to get up to this Valentine’s Day, have a lovely time, if you haven’t yet made any plans for your other half then I suggest you hurry up! Time is running out, and believe me the last thing you want to be doing is rushing around trying to sort everything out at the last minuet. We can all do without this additional stress!!

Have Fun!

A snowy day at the office!

Based in the heart on North Devon we are used to having all different kinds of rain, and even though it is really cold we never seem to get snow, until Monday 2nd February 2009 that is! Everyone in the office became really excited when the first few flakes of snow started to fall, and by lunch time, the snow started to settle. We all kept an eye on the weather forecast, but I don’t think any of us were ready for what was to happen the following day.

Tuesday morning the snow was now coming in thick and fast, and I noticed that a mini wall of white crisp snow had formed behind the wheels of my car. Unsure what to do next, I wondered out onto the lane and was shocked to find my feet had disappeared under the blanket of snow that had accumulated over the course of the night. I called Lee to find out what was happening, and he quickly told me that nobody else could make it into the office either. For a county that hardly ever sees snow, this was a big deal that we couldn’t even get into work! Some roads had not yet been gritted, others couldn’t be treated as the vehicles couldn’t access the roads.

Seeing as nobody could get into the office we all stayed at our homes and took advantage of the snow, this means snowmen, sledging, and lots of cups of tea to keep warm!! By Wednesday morning the snow which had settled started to turn to slush, but we still had very icy roads and lanes, which made the short commute into work take much longer as everybody was driving at a snails pace to stay safe.

It is now nearly the end of the week, and the snow is really starting to thaw, we had a few more sprinkles of snow this morning, but luckily it has eased off. Everyone is the office has worked extra hard to make up for the lost day on Tuesday, but am pleased to say everybody is now up to date!

Here are a few photos of the office covered in snow!
