We all make mistakes, some are worse than others. If you do make a mess of something, always try and regain what you have lost. This will make you feel better about yourself and will make others feel better about you. Wether you have upset and friend or let down a family member, a simple sorry is a step in the right direction. All mistakes can be resolved in one way or another so here are some ways to regain trust, rebuild a friendship and ways to forgive someone who has hurt you.

If you have done wrong and you feel you need to be sorry, then aways start with giving the person you have upset time to think. In doing this, you are giving them an opportunity to assess the situation.

When you feel it’s the right time, approach them and explain yourself. Remember to bear in mind how THEY are feeling. Remember to be considerate and fair in your argument.

After doing this, give them more time to think. If your lucky, they will forgive you. In some cases, this is not always the answer. Friendships need time to rebuild and strengthen. They may not be to the level they were, but in time, this will grow.

A good way to start regaining trust is buy complementing them, doing things for them or maybe even buying them a gift to show how sorry you really are. We all know the workplace is the last place you really want to be today however, like everyone else, you have to be! Getting bored at the workplace is possibly the worst however. Not only does it stress you out and place you in a bad mood, but it also makes the day last longer.

So now what? You are sitting there, stressed to high heaven, in the foulest of moods, clock watching.

Well, if you want to prevent the monotony that is your job, try some of these handy tips to keep the boredom at bay and possibly even increase your work rate.

1-      Drink water – It sounds silly, I know, but dehydration is a major cause of fatigue and that general sluggish feeling. Lack of hydration means your mind is less stimulated and a less stimulated mind is easier to bore.

2-      Listen to some music – or better yet, find new music to listen to. It’s an amazing way to decrease boredom and music has been scientifically proven to increase work rate and improve productivity. Don’t believe me? Research it, that’ll decrease your boredom too.

3-      Look up some jokes – Learn them and tell your co-workers.

4-      Improve skills – If jokes aren’t your thing, why not try to improve your skills? I always attempt touch-typing.

5-      Have a jolly good tidy – Clean-up your work area! And if it is already clean, re-arrange it.

6-      Make plans – There’s hope in plan’s; it becomes enjoyable to think about. Enjoying yourself means less boredom.

7-      Turn work into a game – Now this really depends on your job. If you sit in an office and send out invoices all day, then time yourself, see how fast you can do it. Obviously if you are a surgeon, you shouldn’t really see how quickly you can finish the job. It could prove nasty.. If you haven’t got the capacity to think up a game or your place of work doesn’t make this a viable option, play an already existing game. Sudoku’s a favourite of mine.

8-      If all else fails, blog like me – Everyone knows something about something. Find somewhere only where you can splurge this information!

Things to do for Mum on Mothers Day

It’s very important to make sure that your mum has a great day on mothers day. Here is a list of things you can do for her throughout the day.

Start of with breakfast in bed. A big mug of tea, toast and maybe a cheeky glass of champagne to get her started!

Bring your presents to her room so she can open them in the comfort of her own bed.

Run her a nice hot bubble bath.

Make sure you cook her favourite meal for lunch.

Ask her what she wants to do today and make it happen!

Book a table in a nice restaraunt and again pay for her favourite meal and lots of wine!

Take her home and stick on her favourite movie. (Whilst drinking more wine)

If you do this, you’re going to be in her good books.
